Who Makes Us To Differ?

Religious differences of faith are not prerogatives God gives men, for He demands in speech and action oneness (1 Cor. 1:10), yet a difference existed in Corinth (1 Cor. 1:11-13; 3:1-4). Shall similar difference today be ignored, persisted in, or eliminated by subscription to the absolute standard of divine revelation? Surrender to God's word is the solution to man's sinful divisions of faith. After all, it isn't in man to direct his steps (Jer. 10:23). We illustrate the point with the word 'baptize": (1) The Bible says baptism is in water (Acts 8:36:39) but human creeds declare water is not water and this baptism is in the Holy Spirit; (2) The Bible says baptism is a burial (Rom. 6:3-5; Col. 2:12), but human creeds authorize sprinkling; (3) the Bible say baptism is for (this preposition, eis is accusative in case, meaning "in order to".) the remission of sins (Acts 2:38), but human creed deny it is "for" the remission of sin! Why do we differ and who causes our differences (1 Cor. 4:7)? Why not accept the Bible now, even at the expense of man-made creeds to which you may be subscribed?
